Michael Raissig's research on "plant sex"
Through short video portraits the Graduate Campus will present selected junior researchers and their outstanding research achievements to the broad public.
The series will start with a video portrait of junior researcher Michael Raissig. He completed his PhD in the group of Prof. Ueli Grossniklaus on the developmental genetics of plant reproduction at the UZH Institute of Plant Biology. In his work he researched the epigenetic phenomenon of genomic imprinting, which plays a significant role both for plant reproduction and reproduction of mammals.
The Graduate Campus cordially invites you to the public film release on Tuesday, 25 February 2014, 6pm, at the Succulent Plant Collection of Zurich, Mythenquai 88. The event will be the first public showing of the film. Michael Raissig will comment on the film and be available for questions from the audience. Afterwards the Succulent Plant Collection of Zurich will offer a tour of its special collection of succulent plants.
If you are interested in attending the event, please register as soon as possible since the number of places is limited.
