UZH Mentoring Award 2021: Supervision of PhD candidates

The UZH Mentoring Award recognizes supervisors of PhD candidates at UZH for outstanding mentoring and promotion of early-career researchers. The prize money is endowed with 5,000 Swiss francs. The prize is awarded by a jury consisting of five UZH junior researchers. The award ceremony will take place during the Graduate Campus Annual Ceremony.

Nominations have been accepted until 15 October 2021.

Mission of the UZH Mentoring Award

Supervision and mentoring is an essential aspect of the promotion of junior researchers at UZH. Therefore, Graduate Campus is pleased to announce the newly created UZH Mentoring Award. Junior researchers teach, conduct research, and qualify themselves for an academic career during a time in life that is associated with many uncertainties. Doctoral candidates at UZH should thus receive the best possible support to develop their skills in line with their ambitions and to flourish in an intellectually stimulating environment. The central pillars of an inclusive and supportive working environment for PhD candidates are their supervisors.
