Various central services of UZH organize a wide range of courses and workshops for junior researchers. Further courses and events are offered by the faculties, individual institutes and doctoral programs.

Office for Gender Equality and Diversity

The University of Zurich is committed to ensuring that women and men have equal rights and development opportunities. The promotion of young talent based on gender equality makes an important contribution to this.

After the doctorate, the proportion of women decreases with each level of qualification. The Office for Gender Equality and Diversity offers workshops for junior researchers, among other activities.

BTools

Business Tools AG, jointly sponsored by ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, offers continuing education courses. Most courses are offered in German.

didactica

The didactica program is intended for instructors and persons involved in teaching at ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich at all levels. Its aim is to promote the development of comprehensive teaching proficiency at every stage of the academic career. Based on a model of the fields of activity in higher education, didactica courses cover the entire spectrum of higher education topics. Many courses, titled accordingly, address specific aspects of selected disciplines or certain target groups.

Graduate Campus

Graduate Campus offers courses for PhD candidates and courses for postdocs in the area of transferable skills, including a Research Integrity Online Course.

The main topics are writing and publishing, communicating research, negotiation and leadership, creative management skills, as well as as well as academic and non-academic careers.

Career Services

The workshops of Career Services are aimed at students, doctoral candidates and postdocs of the University of Zurich as well as graduates of UZH up to one year after graduation. Every semester, courses are offered on salary negotiation, job assessment, job interviews and career strategies.

Language Center of UZH and ETH Zurich

The Language Center courses support the language skills of junior researchers in an increasingly international and multilingual environment. Further information: www.sprachenzentrum.uzh.ch/en.html

Main Library of the University of Zurich

The courses of the Main Library cover topics such as introduction to 3D printing, database research, final grade, ZORA and Open-Acess and introduction to the use of HBZ - Medizin Careum.

Information Technology

The IT advanced and continuing education courses are aimed at providing members of UZH with the interdisciplinary IT skills they need for their work and studies.
 

Center for University Teaching and Learning Teaching Assistant Qualification

The Teaching Assistant Qualification Program at the Center for University Teaching and Learning is aimed at all students at the University of Zurich, especially those who are currently teaching and those who intend to do so.
