Call – Una Europa PhD Winter School on "Multimodal Encounters with Cultural Heritage: Theory, Methodology, Future Perspectives"
The Una Europa Winter School 2025 centers on the question of how cultural heritage is experienced, interpreted, and created in today’s world. Participants will explore contemporary debates in heritage studies, engaging with both physical and virtual dimensions of heritage. The program investigates how encounters with heritage are shaped by local contexts, diverse cultural identities, and digital technologies, moving beyond national boundaries. Sessions combine theoretical perspectives with experiential learning, offering insights into heritage across material, immaterial, and virtual forms. The school fosters transdisciplinary collaboration, encouraging doctoral students to reflect critically on their own role as interpreters and creators of heritage.
